Once again, I (Maureen) see a Great Flame that I have come to know as the Heart of God the Father. He says:

And you he made alive, when you were dead through the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience. Among these we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, following the desires of body and mind, and so we were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. Blessings beloved ones,

I, “a soul” of MaryRefugeOfSouls, want everyone to be aware that Totus Tuus Evangelization Network (TTEN) has released another excellent interview over this past Thanksgiving weekend. This time, TTEN featured Dr Bryan Thatcher, who is the founder of Eucharistic Apostles of Divine Mercy, which is associated with Marians of the Immaculate Conception (Fr Chris Alar).

The Eucharistic Apostles of Divine Mercy help in forming Cenacles (prayer groups) that are geared towards the laity. The cenacles focus on loving the Most Holy Eucharist and learning more about St Faustina’s diary, Divine Mercy in My Soul. This is done predominantly by faith sharing in weekly or biweekly meetings, where members read parts of the diary and then apply how those aspects of the diary related to their life.

As I learned about the cenacles, I really felt encouraged by the group format, because it’s not simply about doing prayer with others. It involves learning more about the mystical side of the Church as it relates to the Holy Bible and the Catechism. And a major component involves sharing life testimonies with others in a small group setting. So, this really fosters friendship and discipleship of Christ with getting to know others.

In addition, Dr Thatcher’s interview was very inspirational. It made me teary-eyed, laugh, and smile. Honestly, I love learning about others’ faith journeys because I get so amazed by what the Lord is doing and achieving through other people. It is simply wonderful to know what other people have done simply out of love for Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist. Dr Thatcher has traveled throughout the world forming cenacles in many countries, as well as written many books about Divine Mercy. Myself, I plan to check out some of his books, as I do not know much about St Faustina, who is one of the greatest mystics of our modern era. I do believe that she should be named a Doctor of the Church, as her writings have captured the hearts of millions who are devoted to Our Lord’s Mercy. God bless.
